Why call the magazine The Straitjackets ?

Many years ago, the noted author Raymond Strait began a writing group in Hemet, California, and they called themselves The Straitjackets. Now we have decided it's time to enter the field of on-line publishing.

But why another on-line literary magazine?

Because both new and established writers need all the outlets available to them.

And we promise this--to look for new talent, to publish the unpublished, to encourage those

already published.

In the ensuing months--and hopefully years--we hope to bring you excellent and entertaining literature. We know there are plenty of writers looking for avenues to showcase their works, and we hope this e-magazine fills a need.

Now we need submissions of all kinds--poetry, short stories, essays, excerpts from longer works.   So send us your best, and help us made this an outstanding magazine.

Our next issue will appear in April. The content will be material either written by or about women. We look forward too seeing what's out there.
